During this excursion, you will visit three remarkable temples in Bali. Goa Gajah, it is said, was built on a site used for spiritual meditations. Dating back to the 11th century, the temple is a cave entrance crowned with the head of a creature, once mistakenly believed to be an elephant, hence the name "Elephant Cave." Inside the temple, you can see symbols of both Hinduism and Buddhism, confirming the essence of the Hindu Dharma religion, based on Hinduism, Buddhism, and ancient beliefs from Java. A must-visit is also Tirta Empul Temple, included in our program. It is a holy water temple, where Balinese people undergo a ritual cleansing with holy water. Dating back to the 10th century, the temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Once, during a battle, Lord Indra's army was poisoned, and he thrust his spear into the ground, causing water to gush from the hole, reviving all his warriors. Since then, the springs are considered to bring longevity and prosperity. At Gunung Kawi Sebatu Temple, also dedicated to Lord Vishnu and dating back to the 13-15th century, you can fully enjoy the tranquility and peace inherent in this beautiful corner of the island. There are also sacred springs, which, according to legend, were created by Vishnu himself to give life and protection to warriors fighting evil in his honor.
